Algarve Travel Consultants Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions govern all enquiries and bookings made with Algarve Travel Consultants and by using the website you fully accept these terms and conditions.Where there are multiple persons attached to a booking,the person who makes the booking accepts these conditions on behalf of all members of the group and is personally responsible for all payments due from the travelling group.

All contracts with and all the matters arising from these contracts are subject to Irish law and to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.

The supplier is any airline,car rental,hotel,hotel chain,golf club,transfer agent or any other service provider attached to the booking.

We recommend that you print a copy of these Terms & Conditions for use when using this website.


A deposit is required for all products at the time of booking.In the event that the Company is unable to obtain confirmation and cannot offer an alternative,a refund will be issued.

Payments on booking requests made on the website can be made by specified Credit Cards or Bank Transfer.The Company reserves the right to charge you in addition for any handling fees incurred by us,in relation to bookings made by credit or charge card,which are currently 2% and for Laser a fee of €3

The Company will not accept responsibility for any cash sent through the postal services.Taxes do fluctuate in line with exchange rates and will be recalculated on the day when final balance payments due are collected.You will be advised of any additional charges due in this regard.


In accordance with mail order regulations,all documents will be forwarded to the billing address of the card holder and not the address of the passenger,unless they are one and the same.For security reasons we recommend that all documents be forwarded to you by registered post,at an additional fee.The Company will not accept responsibility for documents lost or mislaid by the postal services.Lost or mislaid tickets may require full payment to be made again,pending a refund of the original documents.Refunds will not be paid to you until they have been received by the Company from the relevant airline or service provider.This usually takes 8-10 weeks,but in cases such as lost tickets,may take considerably longer.The minimum charge will incur a reissue fee levied by the airline,in addition to a €40 ammendment fee.

Credit cards can only be processed for clients who have a billing address in Ireland.


If you need to alter your booking prior to ticketing, will endeavour to assist you.Once has received payment and tickets have been issued,any changes will be treated as a cancellation and rebooking and the cancellation charges as set out by the service providers,will be payable by the client.

You or any member of your group may cancel your booking at any time,provided that the cancellation is confirmed in writing,by the person who made the original booking.All tickets returned for refund are subject to a minimum charge of €25 per ticket,irrespective of the number of tickets returned.Some fares and charges contracted by are value or special offer fares,which are usually quite restrictive for change or refund.This type of fare will normally carry a significant penalty for cancellations or refunds,which may even be up to a 100% penalty.Changes may also be restricted,subject to a charge or prohibited altogether,according to route,fare level and airline.In all cases,unused airline tickets,where reservations were not cancelled prior to departure,are non refundable.


Tickets presented for refund will be forwarded to the relative service provider for assessment.Refunds will not be paid to you until the funds have been received by from the provider.This usually takes a minimum of 8-10 weeks,but in some cases,may take up to 9 months.

Lost or mislaid tickets will incur a re-issue fee levied by the airline or if required a new set of tickets will have to be issued at the clients expense.It is always a good idea to keep a copy of your airline tickets,visa and passport seperate from your travel documents.This will help to expediate their re-issue of tickets.


In the unlikely event that a booking has to be cancelled by the airline and no reasonable alternative can be offered,a full and prompt refund will be made of all monies paid to and no compensation is payable by


A flight described as "direct" will not necessarily be non-stop.All departure/arrival times are provided by the airlines concerned and are estimates only.They may change due to air traffic control restrictions,weather conditions,operational/maintenance requirements and the requirement for passengers to chack-in on is not liable if there is any change to a departure/arrival time previously given to you or shown on your ticket.All passengers are required ro reconfirm their flights with the airline 72 hours prior to departure.Algarvetravelconsultants.comare unable to make any special arrangements for you if your flight is delayed.These matters are at the sole discretion of the airline concerned.


All offers are subject to availability.Prices may change before your booking is confirmed,in which case you will be informed before full payment is accepted.No surcharge will ever be levied for air tickets after your final payment has cleared and tickets have been issued,unless you then amend your reservation.


Algarve Travel Consultants will charge a handling fee for all expense related services and booking assistance.This fee will vary from 5-10% of the total booking,or alternately may be set at a per person rate of €50-€80,depending on the level of service provided.


Travellers who use the website assume full responsibility for and hereby release from any duty of checking or verifying any passport,visa,vaccination or any other entry requirements for chosen destinations.You agree that is not responsible for any potential risks and hazards associated with travel to your chosen destination.Without limiting the generality of the foregoing assumes no responsibility for standards of hygiene,cuisine,sanitation,medical treatment or telecommunications services.Nor is responsible for any political instability,terrorist activity,war,social or labour unrest,civil disturbances,arbitrary changes in government policies,local laws or customs,climatic conditions,methods of conducting business,military activity or emergency evacuation methods.By embarking on travel arranged by,or utilising information contained on you voluntarily assume the risks associated with travel.

BAGGAGE: shall not be responsible for any damage to or loss of luggage or personal strongly recommends the purchase of travel insurance.All incidents of damaged,lost or stolen luggage should be reported in writing to your insurance company without delay.Please note that all airlines limit the amount of baggage which you are permitted to carry,both by size and weight.All excess baggage will be payable by an additional fee by the passenger directly to the airline.The limitations that apply to your reservation will be notified on your itinerary.


It is your responsibility to ensure that you do not behave in a way which causes offence or danger to others,or which risks damage to property belonging to others.In such circumstances all airline employees and have the right to terminate arrangements made on your behalf,in which case`s responsibility to you ceases immediately and there can be no refunds,no payment of compensation and no reimbursement of any cost or expense you may incur as a result.Further,you will be liable to reimburse for any expenses whatsoever it incurs as a result of your behaviour.

It is not always possible to include all taxes on your ticket.In some cases taxes must be paid locally and these are payable to the Government of the country departed and are non-refundable.

WARRANTIES AND LIABILITIES: shall have no liability to the client for any loss,damage,costs,expenses or other claims for compensation arising from any information or instructions supplied by the client which are incomplete,incorrect,inaccurate,illegible,out of sequence or in the wrong form,arising from their late arrival or non-arrival,or any other fault of the client. shall not be liable to the client,or to be deemed to be in breach of the contract by reason of any delay in performing,or any failure to perform,any of`s obligations in relation to the specified services,if the delay or failure was due to any cause beyond`s reasonable control,including without limitation,as a result of any action or omission by any consolidator or service provider. makes no warranty that the services will meet your requirements,or that they will be uninterrupted or error free. shall not be held liable for any direct,indirect,special or consequential damages,resulting from the use or inability to use the service.

Users of our service must be aware that web and computer problems beyond`s control may occasionally occur.We do not guarantee that the service by this website will be uninterrupted.


Please note that,as between you and any of the service providers,whose services provide part of your booking,the suppliers`terms and conditions will apply.The suppliers`standard conditions may limit or exclude liability,often in accordance with international conventions.Copies of these conditions may be requested in writing,but up to 28 days must be allowed for delivery.


If a problem occurs while you are travelling you must inform the service provider immediately,so that the matter can be put right.In the event that a complaint cannot be resolved at the time,you must write within 28 days of your return,to the service providers`customer services department,quoting your reservation/reference number and giving all relevant information of the complaint.Failure to take these steps will hinder the service providers`ability to resolve the problem and/or investigate it fully and in consequence any right to compensation you may have will be extinguished,or,at the very least substantially reduced.
